Happy Halloween! I’m slightly in disbelief that it’s October 31st already but I couldn’t be more excited about it. In my book, Halloween means it’s the unofficial start to the holiday season and for those of you who know me well, know the holidays are my absolute most favorite time of year. I’m basically cueing the Christmas music and hanging the mistletoe as I write this… Well maybe not just yet, but when tomorrow rolls around, that’ll be a whole different story!

On a different note, lets talk fashion… It goes without saying, that I’m a lover of anything cable-knit, and this poncho was no exception. I first saw it in a burnt orange color and instantly thought  of how perfect it would be for Thanksgiving, but after trying it on, I ended up liking the cream version better. Plus, the cream matched perfectly with my cream leather pants which can sometimes be difficult to find something to pair with so needless to say, it had to come home with me. I chose to wear a chambray shirt underneath in order to add some contrast to the outfit and make it not so monochromatic.

When it came to shoes, my Steven Madden Edit’s were a no-brainer. First, their contrasting color was perfect, and secondly, their shaft is rather long, which makes them great for tucking pants into. If you’re interested in a pair, they come in a wide variety of colors are even available in velvet. Just size up, because they run small!
