Fringe-Trim Scarf

When the temps dip, a chunky, plaid scarf is my must-have accessory for fall. Why? Because other than being super functional and keeping you warm, a scarf can instantly add a pop of color and a bit of liveliness to an otherwise drab outfit. Plus, scarves don’t necessarily have to be limited to being worn around your neck, which ultimately makes them one of the more versatile accessories in your closet.

When shopping for scarves I always gravitate towards bright patterns and anything blanket-like – when it comes to outerwear, the bigger and chunkier, the 100% better. There’s sometimes a misconception that chunky scarves are too bulky for everyday wear, but that simply isn’t true. In fact, all things oversized is the look these days and anything less runs the risk of looking inadequate.

If you follow me on Instagram you’re probably aware of my rekindled love with Abercrombie. I know this probably seems absurd considering the low regard most people have for A+F, but they’ve recently undergone a complete upheaval in hopes of dissipating their subpar reputation and I must say, their relaunch has been wildly successful. Gone are their juvenile days of obnoxious logos, loud music, and that infamous signature cologne. Additionally, they’ve revamped the design behind their apparel and created clothing that’s appealing to a much larger and older crowd. Next time you’re at the mall, you most definitely should give A+F a try!
